With a surface area of 350,000m2, the City of Arts and Sciences is a major recreational and cultural centre. Its architecture and the capacity to teach in a fun way will surprise the visitor. It’s one of the main cultural centres in Valencia and the project was developed by two Spanish architects of great international prestige: Santiago Calatrava (L’Umbracle) and Félix Candela, author of the singular roofs of the main buildings of the Oceanogràfic. Their different elements were inaugurated between 1998 and 2009.

Because it’s located at the far end of the Turia gardens (former riverbed), it’s the perfect opportunity to walk along this huge garden which crosses the city with your family, partner or friends.
